Judy resumed riding in 2020 and has spent years working alongside horses in fields, stables, and at farms across northeastern Pennsylvania. That relationship changes everything about what's possible in front of the camera.
Horses follow her. They're curious about her. They relax. And that ease is visible in every image.
The image that earned the 2026 Diamond Photographer of the Year award was the result of years of patience, presence, and a deep understanding of horses as subjects, not just animals to point a camera at.
