Accomplishing Goals

I did it!! I had a goal and achieved it. I was notified today that out of 30,000 photographers, I am one of only 24 photographers world-wide to earn Professional Photographers of America's most prestigious membership status, Elite Plus.

There are certain criteria that have to be met to earn the Elite Plus status: being a Certified Professional Photographer in good standing along with holding a Master of Photography Degree and a Photographic Craftsman Degree. Plus we had to have medaled in last year's image competition and then this year we had to be a gold, platinum or diamond medalist. Plus we had to have a certain number of continuing education merits in the past 12 months.

This means I get to go to the national convention in Nashville for free and attend classes during the three pre-con days for free. I get a special lanyard to wear around my neck too!

I have worked very hard and am thrilled it paid off. Yay!!!!!! I get to share this honor with a few friends too who are in the top 24! That makes it even all the more special. The image below is titled “Protected”, it received a 100 in judging and was awarded a Diamond Case.
